ChipElectroCyt utilizes several novel microfluidic and electrical sensing technologies for its product development. We are focused on “First degree sensing”, where the output characteristics of the sensor are modulated by intrinsic characteristics of the target entities.

First degree sensing simplifies detection assays by removing the need for extra labeling steps, which increase cost and can alter biomolecular behavior. In addition, first degree sensing eliminates the need for expensive and complex optical components and the need to store data intensive image files. Moving towards a future of large numbers of biosensors collecting massive amounts of relevant information all over the world, these are two fundamental aspects of the technology ElectroCyt believes to be critical to the success of our vision.
